What is Senderos?

The Senderos Program provides information to help students get on the right path to an allied health professions career. At this time, the program provides services to students at South San Antonio and Health Careers high school, St. Philip’s College and University of Texas at San Antonio students. The Senderos staff is here to encourage and offer guidance to students and their families as they learn more about the many great careers available to them in the allied health professions.

Senderos offers exposure to allied health careers to the students at South San Antonio and Health Careers high school through:

  • Free summer camps
  • Paid internships, specifically in Allied Health occupations
  • Hands on activities and presentations on Allied Health professions
  • Emergency Medical Technician Basic certification course
  • A Senderos Campus Liaison who provides ongoing financial, academic and career advising for students at participating schools regarding Allied Health professions

Senderos Services to South San Antonio High School, Health Careers High School, St Philip’s College and University of Texas at San Antonio include:

  • Advising students regarding going to college, particularly in the Allied Health professions
  • Provide information to students’ families about Allied Health professions and college in general
